Planning and Financial update for Proposed Build

 

The above concept plans have been presented to the local authorities in application for Consent. This consent is simply to ensure we are building within our townships bylaws. Once consent to build is granted the architect and engineers will complete the working drawings needed for a building consent. This is the point where we will be able to ask for accurate quotes for the build itself, and can set a clear goal for our fundraising. In the meantime, some have already asked how they can give to this vision now, so we have set up this page to keep everyone informed of progress of both build and finances, and will update regularly with any new information. That being said, we believe it is the right time to start our fundraising requests and make available these facilities (see the giving options on this page below) to give into the building account so we can complete our new build.   Please remember these are tax deductible so make sure there is enough information given so Tony can provide you with a tax deductible receipt end of financial year.

There is a very real excitement amongst the whole church now the new build is now a reality . We have prayed and waited on The Lord for the right time. During the ‘wait’ we believe God has been so faithful and has given us much more than we would have dared reached for a few years ago.

We have $680,000 of our own funds to put towards this build. That is a tremendous base to work from. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone for praying in faith, sharing, encouraging, and looking to partner with The Lord in the future mission of OBC, best summarised at our last meeting with the words “this is not a plan for Sunday. It’s for Church seven days a week”
