BABY HEALED OF DEAFNESS

When Huxley was 10 days old he had a hearing test and it revealed he was deaf. Nalin and I had to go back a fortnight later and this time it was worse; Huxley was profoundly deaf. We left feeling very concerned, that there was no hope and wondering how we would cope as Nalin had lost 2 fingers at work which would make sign language very difficult. We had to get a hospital referral for more tests. I went to God and told Him He couldn't give me a deaf baby as we had already had so many trials but had remained faithful. God said to me "You have to leave this to Nalin and I". I didn't share this with Nalin.

Nalin said he would go to Greg so they could pray together. This was the first time he had approached Greg and God for help. Greg and Nalin organised for the elders to anoint and pray for Huxley. After prayer Huxley and I slept for 3 hours which was the longest sleep ever. Huxley wasn't sleeping and would panic that he had been left. He would stop crying when he could see either of us and was held. Huxley had been on 3 medications for colic but after prayer he didn't need any of them. The hospital appointment came when he was 7 weeks old. Amazingly he slept the whole time which was exactly what the hospital wanted. They did 12 tests and he passed every one. Nalin said he would never question that God was real again. We have been through a season of extreme hardship but now understand that God is truly with us and blessing us. Our faith has never been so strong.
